Do You Nourish Yourself?

Cereal for breakfast, a protein bar for lunch. Coffee and a cookie at three. By the time she gets home from work, there’s no energy or inspiration for dinner, so it’s delivery or…cereal.

After a few years of this lifestyle, things are starting to break down; she can barely get out of bed in the morning, and definitely not without a caffeine boost. Her body has started to betray her; her clothes feel tight, her skin doesn’t glow like it used to, and her stomach groans and complains after almost every meal.

She feels out of control, out of touch and at war with her body. She wants to make peace and feel at home in her own body, and deep down, cares enough about herself to make this change.

Does any of this sound familiar?

There is a solution, there is a way out, it doesn’t have to be like this. There is another way.

I can help you find your energy and vitality. I can help you balance your weight, and feel at home in your body. I will help your reframe your thoughts so that they create positive action. We will create strategies that help you choose the right foods, in order to feel peaceful, radiant, and full of life.

But, you might have objections, like:

“I’ve tried everything; nothing works.”

Counting calories is not inspiring, neither is dogma or guilt. Feeling great IS. I’ll help you figure out what makes you feel good, and then how to keep making inspired choices.

“I just have to live with this, it’s not that bad.”

Your doctor may have told you that what you eat will not affect your condition, and the only solution is to take this or that drug for the rest of your life. That’s not the whole story. Everyone deserves to feel good, and often times drugs come with yucky side-effects. You don’t have to live with this forever. There are simple changes you can make to feel so much better.

“Counseling is too expensive!”

Simply put, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. While working with me, you’ll learn how to feed and care for yourself, and this will save you money in three ways:

  1. You’ll spend less on restaurants and fast food because you will cook for yourself, and shop more efficiently.

  2. You’ll spend less on vitamins, supplements and weight-loss programs, because you’ll only take supplements that you really need, and weight-loss will happen naturally.

  3. You’ll save on medical expenses down the road. Improved nutrition can prevent colds and flus this season, and help you avoid expensive procedures years from now.

I help women uncover their innate healing power. I will help you discover the food that makes you feel great and strategies that set you up to succeed.

Many women are inundated with health information. They read health blogs and follow Dr. Oz and still don’t feel good in their bodies. I help women tap into their intuition and deep love for themselves so that they can make informed and inspired choices about how to eat, move and live. This way, healthy choices come from a place of self-love and care, rather than from shame or guilt.

Here’s what others say:

“I now have ways to describe the “hunger” that I’m feeling. I’ll surprise myself sometimes and not be hungry when I’m really working on something I love and feeling really supported in it. I LOVE the hungry sensation when it comes during those times, knowing I need to fuel and nourish my body and that is all, that’s all the food is, fuel and nourishment, nothing else attached to it. Conversely, I can now clearly identify the other type of “hunger” that is my craving for being loved, being appreciated, for being with others. You are amazing!” -Lisa

I don’t believe in counting calories or following popular nutrition dogma. There are no “evil” foods when you work with me, and no guilt or shame. Let’s be honest about what foods make you feel good and uncover your body’s natural healing ability.

MT came to me underweight and complaining of IBS symptoms. She had a food journal full of failed diets and a general disgust for her body. She had read about me online, and just wanted to get some ideas about foods that could make her stomach less “round.” Through our work together, we learned that she had some food sensitivities that were contributing to her bloating and discomfort, as well as some eating habits that made her symptoms worse. We transformed her relationship with food so that every bite was an act of self-love. Her weight regulated, she enjoys cooking and eating, and she loves what her body does for her. MT has the energy, creativity and focus to teach, travel and work for causes that are close to her heart.

Come in and meet with me for a free consultation. We’ll get a clear picture of you and your goals, and I will present some initial steps. Once you and I have a feel for each other, we can talk about what it would look like to work together.
